Year 2 visited Hamerton Zoo on their school trip. They enjoyed a workshop all about the senses of different animals and how they navigate their environments. They then went around to look at all the different animals. Having recently read the story Meerkat Mail, they really enjoyed looking at the meerkats and jackals and discussing the characters in the book. The children were also amazed by the size of the bears and were shocked to know that these were the smallest of all the brown bears.
