Year 6 - Maya Day

The class began the day by using virtual reality headsets to take a tour of ancient city states and the Mesoamerican rainforest, observing different animals such as howler monkeys and jaguars. They also explored ruins and temples in important Maya places such as Tikal and Chichén Itzá.  Following this, the children used a stick loom to weave using cotton and made their own worry doll.  The children also discovered their Nawhal name before completing a Fire Ceremony where they provided offerings to their Nawhal.
