Year 3 - English
Year 3 have been studying the book 'The Rhythm of the Rain' by Grahame Barker-Smith. Working as a group we have investigated each illustration and annotated it with our observations. Noting the role of the river, its environment and the living things within it. The children have compared the river in the countryside which is full of wildlife and compared it to a river journeying through a city and how it can become polluted by humans. Using knowledge from this terms geography we have made links with the watercycle and how the river shapes the land on its journey.
